Happy Father's Day and Our Anniversary!

Well, this has been an eventful two weeks so I am so sorry for the lack of posts. I'm trying to keep up and post once a week, but it's been rough lately. Poor Wells got sick...again with allergy junk that turned into some bacteria. So after another antibiotic, he's finally feeling much better! I am also in charge of registration for our Vacation Bible School at church so I haven't had much free time to do anything else (that's if I've had free time at all!!). But enough about our busy lives because we are still having fun around here!
We have had some exciting times this week. Chris and I celebrated our 3rd Anniversary on Wednesday, June 17th. We knew it would be tough to do anything with Wells being sick, Chris' ACL healing and everything else going on, but we also knew we needed to get away and celebrate even if it was just for a little while. We went to eat at The View at The Club. It was AMAZING!! If you or your parents have memberships to The Club, I highly suggest going! And it doesn't have to be a special event, as they have provided some cheaper items on the menu. The head chef is also a guy I graduated with and he does a phenomenal job. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and realized just how badly we needed a date night. It's hard to believe we are going to have two kids in three years, but God's plan is always better than ours. Oh how our lives have changed though!! We feel so fortunate to not only have one another, but to be blessed with one fun-loving and precious child and one on the way. And I really don't want to sound cheesy, but honestly I thank God for chris and our marriage everyday and we really have such a blast together and laugh 95% of the time. We often say, "do you think other married couples have as much fun as we do?" And this flows right into Happy Father's Day to Chris!! He is honestly the best dad I've ever witnessed (besides my own awesome dad who is equal!) and been around. He wants to spend every moment he has here with Wells. He bathes him every night, and now that he cannot do that because of his ACL, he gets me to bathe him so he can rock him to sleep. He has been this way since Wells was born. When Chris gets home from work, he winds down for a couple of minutes, changes clothes, and goes straight to wells! Wells just loves him so much and I'm sure Claire will be a daddy's girl if she is anything like me! I can't wait to watch him with a little girl. He will melt! With all this being said, He wins husband of the year and Daddy of the Year EVERY day in my eyes! I love him so much and thank God for him! I'm about to add pictures of Wells and his daddy swinging...Wells favorite thing to do!

The Name Game!

Well, after a couple of weeks...well, months...of going back and forth on girl names, we finally have one!!! Claire Christine Sheheane will be her name and we are calling her Claire. It's hard to find something to go with Sheheane, but we thought "Claire Sheheane" just had a fun ring to it!I've always loved the name Claire and Chris did too, but he was also stuck on some other names. So we decided to look up the meaning behind all the names we liked and Chris' favorite name (which i won't mention in case it's a name you like!) meant "unlucky"!! Who wants their child's name to mean unlucky!! It was even that way on the christian website!! So Claire meant "Bright and Full of Life" and Christine meant "pure and follower of Christ". So we LOVED those two meanings put together. We also wanted to be able to use Chris in a name because my mom is named after her dad, I am named after my dad, and now Claire's middle name Christine will be after Chris! Her initials are also the same as Chris' initials, CCS. So there you go!! We were tired of using "baby girl" or it, her, etc. So last night we said "we've got to do this now!" So Claire it is! We love it and i hope you will too! Today I woke up with a big smile on my face just thinking about it! That was confirmation that we picked the right name!

Promised 10 month pictures

So here are the pictures I promised! They have all been taken within the past few days so they are really his 10 months pictures right on the mark! I forgot to mention in my last post that he LOVES his swing and would live in it if he could. He also has one at both grandparents' homes. He also loves to clap and dance. I do have video of him dancing and can hopefully get it posted soon. It's hilarious!!! All I say is "shake it wells!" and he moves like elvis and shakes his head. He's a hoot! The top right picture is him "kissing" chris. We rarely get kisses, but when we do they are slobbery and sweet!! Thanks for checking by in for these pics!

Happy 10 Months Wells!

Today Wells is 10 months old!!! It almost passed us by without even celebrating with him! Well, all we do is say "yeah" and clap a lot with him, but he loves that!! This month has brought many milestones. First of all he loves to clap and does this mostly while eating. I guess he takes after his mom and likes food! He also has 6 teeth now; two on the bottom and four on the top. May led us to discover that Wells has some fun seasonal allergies of some sort. We know he is allergic to cats, but we also think he is allergic to something outside. The poor guy's nose runs and runs, while chris and I are constantly wiping it. It's no fun! Trust me! He is crawling at the speed of light and pulls up on everything. He often falls down with things falling on top of him...scary! As I say each month, "I love this month the most!" He is just getting to be so much fun! The only hard thing right now is that poor Chris had ACL surgery on Monday, and we have no idea when he tore it. So we have had an interesting week! This is why there is no picture to go along with this post. I promise to post one or more sometime this week. In the meantime, pray that Chris' knee heals correctly and quickly and that I will have a servant's heart for him and Wells.
